American Idol: They travel from city to city to get qualifiers.
Indiana Idol: We go from bar to bar every night for 12 weeks getting 2 qualifiers EACH NIGHT!
American Idol: They cut some down then they go to hollywood
Indiana Idol: We will cut it down once we have the top 24 from EACH location (2 per night for 12 weeks = 24) We cut it down to 10 then the TOP 4 from each location then they go to a round called sectionals.(Hollywood)
American Idol: They cut people weekly on TV
Indiana Idol: The top 4 from each bar at sectionals we get cut to the top 15(north sectionals at Bennigans in Hobart and East sections is at Reilly's in Michigan City both on a SATURDAY night) From each sectional the top 15 will be kept. (total of 30) Then the top 30 from sectionals will meet the next Saturday at Bennigans in Hobart and we will cut it down to 20.
American Idol: The final night they crown 1 winner of the whole show.
Indiana Idol: The TOP 20 Singers from the ALL OVER NW INDIANA will be joined by the TOP 3 winners from last years Indiana Idol. Those 23 will sing 1 song and we will cut it down to 15. Round 2 we will cut it to the top 7. Then Round 3 the top 7 will sing a 3rd song and the top 5 will win cash.
